Our founders have deep roots in Africa. Hellen Davis grew up there and still spends significant time every year at her home on the banks of the Crocodile River in Mpumalanga. She learned much about our highly curated ingredients from the gorgeous women of Africa. In addition to making certain our products reflect well of our African roots, so does our EllieGlow philosophy. At EllieGlow, we believe we are all connected. We hold dear to the concept of Ubuntu which is a universal concept of connectedness and sharing which started centuries ago in Africa. Loosely translated from Zulu, Ubuntu means ‘humanity’ and philosophically it means “I am because we are.” Ubuntu refers to the belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity and living things. In referring to Ubuntu, Nelson Mandela asked of us: “The question therefore is: Are you going to do so in order to enable the community around you to be able to improve?” It is with thinking that we manufacture and deliver every EllieGlow product.
